State’s Anti-Fraud Law Adopted as National Model
The National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) has officially adopted Louisiana’s amended insurance fraud law as its new national benchmark, an action that positions Louisiana as a national leader in the fight against insurance fraud. According to the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, insurance fraud costs American families up to $308.6 billion annually, equating to nearly $1,000 in higher premiums per household.
