In my 56 years on this earth, I’ve had some incredible experiences. My definition of an incredible experience is being part of an event that so profoundly affected me that it left me wanting to experience it again. I believe in my heart that the Jena High School football program was just part of that type of an incredible experience. From the moment the final seconds ticked off the clock in their semifinal game on December 5 until the Sterlington Panthers formed a “V” formation at the Superdome last Friday afternoon securing the championship trophy, the players, coaches, parents and fans were all part of an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives and they left New Orleans wanting to experience it again.
