As a child growing up in Calhoun, one of my fondest memories is of our pastor’s wife, Mrs. Mary Aswell, teaching us in Sunbeams (I know I am dating myself). Mrs. Aswell would use the flannel graft board and could make a Bible story come to life. She was a master at it. One of those stories I vividly remember is the story of the Good Samaritan.
