Age is just a number to Reverend Elsie Ray Johnson, and at 87 years of age- soon to be 88he is still preaching the word of God saying, “I’ll preach wherever they call me!”. Reverend Johnson or ‘Brother Johnson’ as he is locally known and his late wife of 65 years, Joy Lofton Johnson, spent their lives together pastoring churches across Louisiana and Mississippi. Today he continues that ministry in an evangelical effort, preaching at various churches as an evangelist.
