The frigid weather, ice encased trees, and the icicles presently hanging from my front porch roofline remind me of days from yesteryear: specifically, times when winter storms came and hung around longer than wanted. Weather warnings weren’t as accurate or timely as today’s forecasts, so we were uncertain as to the duration and extent of the ‘ice’ storms and were less equipped and prepared.
