Master Gardeners Darlene Ray (top photo) and Vicki Buckhalter (middle photo) are two of a select few in the state who know the technique of “air layering,” a process that is able to create a perfect clone of a bush. They were cloning Camillias in Martha Wood’s lawn in Jena last Wednesday and will host the Winn Parish Master Gardeners this week in Jena where they will demonstrate the same techniques for them along with LSU AgCenter officials.
