Three-Parish high speed chase ends peacefully

A 28-year-old Columbia man led law enforcement on a 40-mile, highspeed chase through three parishes Wednesday, May 20, which concluded with a five-hour standoff as the suspect held a gun to his head before finally surrendering to officers. No officers, civilians or the suspect were injured in the incident.
