The Strand Theatre set to open by fall

The Strand Theatre Coordinator Sheila Mason and Town of Jena Mayor LaDawn Edwards discuss future events and plans for the townowned historic theater, which is set to open with a premiere event within the next month or two. The theater was originally set to open in the fall of 2020.

The Strand Theatre in downtown Jena is set to open by fall after a yearlong delay. The historic theater, which is town-owned, will be used for performances, events and programs as well as a rental space for weddings, receptions, rehearsals, family reunions, homecoming events and more.
