Former Tullos Alderman and Mayor Freddie “Fred” Book was presented with a plaque and a framed copy of the proclamation by Mayor Karla Cockerham, proclaiming August 2, 2021, as “Freddie Book Day in Tullos” honoring him for 36 years of exemplary service to the town. Book’s daughter, Stephanie Clark, and his son, Ty Book, were on hand for the presentation. Book served as Alderman from 1974-1982 and Mayor from 1982-2010. The presentation was made during the regular August meeting of the Tullos Town Council on Monday of last week. (See story on page 12A)
