Water rate increase considered by Olla Council
Jody O’Bier was administered the oath of office as new Olla Chief of Police by Town Attorney Walter E. Dorroh, Jr., during the Olla Council regular August meeting held Tuesday night of last week. O’Bier was appointed by the council to fill out the unexpired term of Daniel Smith, who resigned on July 31, 2021. The term expires Dec. 31, 2022, with regular town elections slated in the fall of 2022, when voters will choose the Chief of Police.

Water rate increase considered by Olla Council

Water rates for the Olla Water System will increase if the Town Council approves an ordinance, which was introduced at the regular August meeting of town officials held Tuesday night of last week. An ordinance to amend water rates was introduced during the council meeting, and will be considered at the September meeting after a public hearing is conducted.
