As I opened my email and scanned down the list of emails in my inbox looking to see if I had anything of importance, they were mostly emails of really no great importance. Then I saw it. There was one from a friend of long ago and the subject line said, “Daddy”. I knew within my soul what this meant. My good friend and “podnah” Oscar Pace had died. “Podnah” was what he always would call me when we were away from the school.
