Two Rapides Parish men were arrested last week for allegedly stealing oilfield items and their arrests resulted in deputies finding suspected illegal drugs. On Thursday, February 10, a call came into the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office from an employee of an oilfield company who observed a silver GMC pickup truck pulling a utility trailer loaded with pumping rods and other metal items he believed were stolen from one of his company’s oil well locations in the Dewey Wills Wildlife Management Area.
