Tullos Mayor Karla Cockerham announced at the Town Council meeting last week that the town received the long-awaited permit from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) to move forward with the town’s water filtration system. She said the permit had been repeatedly sent back and forth over the past year to the town’s engineer for revision. She said now the town is waiting on permits from DEQ and DOTD and she hopes construction will begin by summer.
