Even though Mother Nature continues to postpone the 3-1A district season, the Lady Tigers are finding tough competition from around the state. LaSalle was able to get into a tournament in Alexandria after a couple of rainouts this past week and topped it off with a gigantic win over Class 5A ASH. The games postponed included Montgomery and Logansport, which will be rescheduled for a later date. The unexpected tournament included two games with opponents being Alexandria Senior High School and Avoyelles Charter (2A). The LaSalle Lady Tigers took Friday night’s game (March 18) in dramatic fashion, with a 6-5 walk off victory over ASH. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the seventh inning when Hayleigh Boyd singled on the first pitch of the at-bat to score the winning run.
