LaSalle Parish continues to maintain the lowest unemployment percentage in the entire state, a title it has held since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. Although LaSalle’s 2.6% unemployment rate for January 2022 is higher than its 2.2% recorded in December 2021, it still leads the state with the lowest unemployment numbers.
