15th annual Special Olympics held

Jena Elementary student Owen Skye celebrates crossing the finish line as fellow students Gabriel Ryan and Stevie Brown come up all smiles behind him to also cross the finish line of the 25-yard walk/run at the recent LaSalle Special Olympics under a beautiful sunny sky at Jena High Schoolâs Guy Campbell Memorial Stadium in Jena.

The 15th annual LaSalle Parish Special Olympics were held at the Jena High School football field on Friday, April 1. According to Jenene Bignar, Supervisor of Special Education for the LaSalle Parish School System, the event was a tremendous success.
