Amanda Papillion Larkins, Outreach Manager for Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, spoke to students at LaSalle High School last Thursday morning about the dangers of tobacco use, with added focus on the dangers of smoking and vaping. The program is being conducted at schools across the state and last Thursday included stops at Olla-Standard Elementary School and LaSalle Junior High School.

Council approves Strand Theater policies after addressing concerns
Members of the Jena Town Council approved a new rental agreement and policies for the Strand Theater during their regular meeting held Monday, April 4, but not until they addressed several concerns they had with the document.
