The LaSalle Parish School Board approved the Performance Standards and a two-year contract for Kylie Andrews as the assistant principal for Jena Junior High School, beginning on August 22, 2022, and ending July 31, 2024.

Also, during the meeting, the board approved the rescinding of a previous motion approved on June 6 to place the 1% Sales Tax Election on the runoff election ballot set for December 10, 2022.

Other Business

During the meeting, board members voted to:

• Approve the LaSalle Parish Child Nutrition Program to participate in the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for one year, beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023.

• Allow CLTCC Adult Education to serve the community at the LaSalle Jr. High School Campus building beginning July 1, 2022, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

• Enter into a cooperative agreement between the LSU Ag Center and the LaSalle Parish School Board beginning June 30, 2022, and ending July 1, 2023, in the amount of $16,560.00.

• Accept the low bid from T&L Dirtwork, Inc. to provide equipment, labor and materials to lay the front parking lot at LaSalle High School including prep base, base material and asphalt in the amount of $49,500.00, to be paid from the 1% Sales Tax Fund 24.

• Approve the updated resolution of the LaSalle Parish School Board regarding Employment of Special Counsel as requested by Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins, LLP.

Stacie West, secretary at Jena Elementary, effective for the 2022-2023 school year, replacing Terry Morphis.
