If you live in south Louisiana, you call the name of the parish seat of Lafourche Parish, “Tibby-doe.” If you live in north Louisiana up in redneck country, you call the city by the same name as folks in Cajun country. North or south, its pronounced “Tibby-doe.” I mention Thibodaux, home to some 16,000 residents because I just got back from there.
