The annual See You At The Pole event will be held next Wednesday morning, September 28, at campuses throughout LaSalle Parish as students pray for the new school year. Although it is student-led, everyone is encouraged to attend. Most events begin at 7:30 a.m., prior to the start of school. (See story on page 2A.)

Olla Council discusses town business at meeting
Town of Olla Mayor Rhonda Elliott offered a host of updates concerning the town along with leading the discussion on several topics during the Council’s regular meeting last week. She informed the Council that the town is receiving $30,000 through Act 170 Appropriations funding for streets.
