The LaSalle Parish School Board addressed various items of businesses at their regular meeting last Monday, October 3, including the approval of out of state travel for the LaSalle High FFA (Future Farmers of America) members and chaperones to attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana from October 24-29. Longtime LHS teacher and FFA advisor Chris Bennett said the LHS FFA is one of the top ten programs in the state and the last three out of four years they have placed first in state competition. Board President Jonny Fryar commended Bennett and the students for their hard work and commitment.
