La. DOTD to issue special permits for transporting hay

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced today that it will begin issuing special permits to vehicles transporting hay during the current federally declared drought emergency. § RS 32:387 (6) grants the DOTD Secretary the authority to issue special permits to vehicles transporting hay due to a disaster or emergency.
