Jury convicts Jena man of manslaughter

A LaSalle Parish Jury found David K. Hawkes of Jena guilty on October 27 of the crimes of Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, according to LaSalle Parish District Attorney J. Reed Walters, following a three and a half day trial. The case was presented to the Jury by District Attorney Walters.
