Jena First Baptist Church members pack hundreds of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at the church’s old fellowship hall in downtown Jena during the “Missions in a Box” packing event earlier this month. The church serves as the relay center for the shoeboxes from La-Salle Parish. The total shoeboxes collected this year from local churches, schools and individuals totaled 2,000 boxes. (See story.)
