Jena receives preliminary score for water system; Revenues up in 2022
During the first meeting of the year on Monday at 9 am, Superintendent Ronny Steele reported that the Town of Jena received a preliminary “Grade Score” of “D” from the Louisiana Department of Health on the Town Water System as per new regulations. The score was a result of unresolved deficits including the lack of backup power/generators at the water wells. He said the town has asked for an extension to complete the backup power source and plans are underway to spec out generators for each well site and secure bids.
