If a man or a woman robs a bank, we do not hesitate to say that he or she is a bank robber and is guilty of a crime. If a man or a woman premeditates and then kills another human being, we are not shy about saying that the perpetrator is a murderer and that murder is a crime. If a man or a woman perjures himself or herself on the witness stand, we are right to say that he or she lied, and obviously perjury is a violation of the law. But strangely enough, when it comes to the Laws of God that have been societal norm for thousands of years in reference to heterosexuality, homosexuality, gender etc., it is now expected that the abnormal be called normal.
That which the God of creation established, male and female (Matt 19:4) is First disputed and then denied. Furthermore, that which the lord identifies as an abomination (Lev. 20:13) and reprobate (Rom. 1:26-32) is given place with the demand that it be accepted and honored. But I believe, he who robs a bank is a bank robber. He who kills is a killer. He who perjures himself is a liar. He or she who engages in sexual deviance is a practitioner of perversion.
Does the Lord’s love include redemption for bank robbers, killer, liars, and perverts? Yes, it does! When the Bible says that “God so loved the world (John 3:16) it does not say “Except for bank robbers and etc.” Truly the lords love inclusive, but he also has a strong vocabulary about sin, he loves sinners, all sinners but he hates sin, sin and all sin.
The government can legalize same-sex marriage. It can tell us that it is now acceptable, but they cannot change the immutable laws of our unchanging God. His laws, like his word, are eternal and with out variance. Individuals or groups may not like it; But what he has said, HE has said. You may mock him and malign with anyone who lives up with him, but the truth is still true. Let me be clear.
Number One – Man is a free moral agent. He has the freedom to choose. He can choose right or he can choose wrong. Since he is a sinner by nature, he will inevitably do sinful things. He will sin and make choices about sin which sin he commits.
Number two – the law of the Lord (Old and New Testament) identifies right and wrong and defines them for us. It is not up to us to decide what Is right and what is wrong. The lord has already done that for us.
Number three – when men scheme to do evil and change the label on the bottle, the poison in the bottle is no less a poison. You can call sweet sour and you can call sour sweet. (Isa. 5:20) but what you call it does not change what it is.
Number four – Undoubtedly, the bank robber doesn’t want anyone to speak ill of his behavior. He may want the city council to pass and ordinance to legitimize bank robbery and penalize anyone who criticizes bank robbers. In reality that is the strategy of the LGBTQ crowd. They think if they can get a law passed or a court decision in their favor, then all of the rest of us should agree and comply without question.
Number five – The LGBTQ crowd is not satisfied to get their way. They want to demonize, vilify and penalize anyone who disagrees with them. According to them, when it comes to their issues, free speech is no longer permitted. They want to say whatever they please, but they want to deny everyone else the same right and privileges.
Number six – Homosexuality has been around for a long time, but it has never been legitimized and sanctioned behavior until recent times. Although some of the LGBTQ advocates insist that if you love sinners you must love their sin, that is a false premise. They say if you hate sin, then you hate sinners. It appears that is the way they do business, but that is not the way Christians conduct themselves.
Number seven – we can and will operate on these very same principles with LGBTQ people. Although we strongly disagree with them and will never embrace their lifestyle, we will go the “Extra Mile” (Matt. 5:41) to rescue and redeem every one of them. Whether it be bank robbery, perjury or the LGBTQ perversion, we must not cave into the pressure of a Society that has rejected God and denied his word.
