During the month of February, the Centennial Cultural Center in downtown Olla will feature art from two African countries to honor of Black History Month. Several paintings and woodcarvings from the African country of Zambia will be on display courtesy of Olla residents David and Betty Sharp. David purchased the art when he worked in Zambia for several years. Also on display at the center will be art, woodcarvings and beadwork from Nigeria, which are on permanent display courtesy of Joe and Joan Rachal. CCC Director Donna Lindsey would like to thank the Sharps and Rachals for providing the items on display. To view the art, stop by the center between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday to Friday.
