The first annual Youth Agricultural Career Field Day was held for high school students in both LaSalle and Catahoula parishes on March 3 at the community center in Jena. Over 120 students from five schools attended the event, which featured nine local and state-wide companies and higher education institutions to discuss career opportunities with students. The event was hosted by the LaSalle Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) with assistance from the Catahoula SWCD.
