I am writing this letter to issue a deserved apology and a heartfelt thank you. Several days ago, I was extremely humbled by being awarded Bus Driver of the Year. I was asked at the time if I had a few words to share. At the time, I was overwhelmed and did not know how to respond. I didn’t even say “thank you.” I am very sorry for that. I should have at the least mustered a “thank you.” I apologize to our School Board, our Superintendent, my Supervisor, and my fellow drivers and others present for that ‘choke.’ Thank you all for that awesome moment.
