Eighth grade students from LaSalle Parish are escorted inside the La-Salle Correctional Center in Urania last Thursday as part of the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office YCAP (Youth Crime Awareness Prevention) program. The goal is to have students see what life is like inside a prison with the hope that they will think twice about their life choices. Next week, this newspaper will feature photos and essays from the students who attended.
