The year 2023 just might be the labeled as the “Year of Change” for LaSalle Parish. Perhaps not on a grand scale but certainly in many areas. The LaSalle Parish School System has a new superintendent (the first superintendent hired from outside of the parish in many years), next school year will feature a four-day week and perhaps one of the biggest changes will take place later this fall when voters elect a new sheriff, as 16-year and 4-term incumbent Sheriff Scott Franklin has chosen not to seek re-election.
