An amendment to the town’s water rate ordinance to increase Town of Jena water rates was officially introduced during the Council’s May meeting held Monday morning at the Jena Town Hall. If adopted at next month’s Council meeting, water customers of the town will see a slight increase in base rates, however, the new rates will still be lower than any water system surrounding the town.
