According to Tullos Mayor Karla Cockerham, the Tullos overpass on US 84 west was scheduled to be reopened by Monday afternoon, June 5, but will be limited to light vehicles only. A 5-ton weight limit will be enforced on the temporary bridge until a new structure can be built.

Officials Working to Fill School Vacancies
The summer months mean a break from school responsibilities for most in the LaSalle Parish School System, but for many of the system’s 12-month employees, work continues at a rapid pace. Along with finalizing details of the new, four-day school week, supervisors are hoping to have over 10 parish-wide positions filled before the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
