Billie “Bill” R. Hopson, 85, of Pasadena, TX passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his home.

He was a resident of Jena for many years and worked for Pelican Trucking and Justiss Oil until his retirement.

No service was held as Bill requested his remains be donated for scientific research.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rural Hopson; mother, Jamzie Brantley-Hopson; brother, Jimmy W. Hopson; and twin sisters, Martha and Diane Hopson.

He will be missed by his loving family and is survived by his wife, Hazel Hopson, Jena, LA; four siblings, Betty L. Elias, Charles Hopson, James R. Hopson and Rosemary Baker; his children, Jamzie Darlene, Rhonda Kay, Billie Andrea and Timothy Rayburn; six grandchildren, Ashley Foley-Mack, Joshua Matthews, Terri Matthews, Reagan Phelps, Garret McNara and Emma Mc-Nara; seven great grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews and their children.
