Legislature Honors Former Fire Chief

Legislature Honors Former Fire Chief

The Olla Volunteer Fire Department was on the receiving end of the town’s appreciation during the Olla Town Council’s monthly meeting held Tuesday, August 8. State Representative Gabe Firment was in attendance to present the family of the late Joe Thompson, long-time Olla Volunteer Fire Chief, with a resolution from the House of Representatives recognizing Thompson’s service and dedication to the departments and the cities he served.
