One of the cardinal rules that my dad, Sammy Franklin, taught me concerning local politics is to not get involved. It’s important for a weekly newspaper to be unbiased and stay neutral when it comes to local elections and none could be more important to stay neutral on than the LaSalle Parish Sheriff election.
