Donna Whatley

Donna Jaye Whatley, 69, of Temple, TX, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at her home in Temple, TX.

She was born June 25, 1954 in the Little Creek community.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena, with the Rev. Gary Norris officiating.

Interment followed in the Hawthorne Cemetery in the Little Creek community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Wiley Hudson and Alma Jane Hudson; sister, Odessa Hudson Achord; and two grandsons, Hunter Glen Whatley and Robert Whatley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Bobby Whatley; sons, Bobby Glen Whatley II (Jennifer) and John Robert Whatley (Becky); daughter, Amanda Nicole Whatley Delle Donne; grandchildren, Chase Hunter Whatley, Luke Carter Whatley, Emily Whatley, Wyatt Whatley and Gracie Whatley; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Boyd, Edward Achord, Todd Achord, Josh Darden, Mark Kendrew and Ricky Cockerham.

Honorary pallbearers were Ronald Paul, R.K. Hill, Roger Whatley, Chase Whatley, Luke Whatley and Chris Darden.
