A 59-year-old Jena man was arrested last week for allegedly selling illegal narcotics, according to LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives.
Ernest Sharp, Jr. was arrested Friday night, September 29, by the LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for two counts of distribution of CDS II methamphetamine.
According to detectives, Sharp was caught selling the illegal drugs during an undercover operation conducted recently by the sheriff’s office. He was allegedly caught selling the drugs on two separate occasions.
After obtaining evidence of the illegal activity, a warrant was issued by the 28th Judicial District Court for the arrest of Sharp.
Sharp was arrested at his residence on Breithaupt Street in Jena without incident, and transported to the LPSO Jail, where he was booked on the charges.
