LHS Homecoming This Friday

Heath Denison, Principal of LaSalle High School, has announced that LHS Homecoming 2023 will take place at LaSalle this Friday, October 13, 2023.

The 2023 Queen and her Court will be presented during the morning program, which will be held in the LaSalle High School football stadium at 10 a.m. This year’s court, which is determined each year by the number of LaSalle Tiger football seniors, is one of the largest ever with 17 members of the court along with the queen.

The Alumni of LaSalle High School classes of 1963, 1973, 1983, 1993, 2003, 2013, and 2023 will be honored.

The homecoming program is a favorite of young and old, as a representative from each alumni class provides a small recap of their years at LaSalle High, often entertaining to the delight of those attending The LaSalle Tigers will host the Montgomery Tigers in the homecoming football game at 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium that night with the Queen and her Court being presented during halftime. The annual homecoming parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. Participants are asked to report to the front of the La Salle Recreation Center at 1:30 p.m. to line up. Please note: All floats, ATVs and motorcycles must be operated by licensed, insured adults (21 years of age or older). Homecoming game tickets may be purchased in advance in the LHS Main Office or at the ceremony on Fri- day. Tickets are $10 per person.

The 2023 LHS Homecoming Court includes Queen Makenzie Nino.

Makenzie is the daughter of Amanda & Matthew Champagne of Olla. Makenzie will be attended by Raegan Cockerham, the daughter of Sherman and Hilaree Cockerham of Summerville, and Whittman Champagne, the son of Matthew & Amanda Champagne of Olla.

The court consists of young ladies honored by the 2023-2024 senior football players as follows: Brody Barton, son of Adam & Melissa Barton of Olla & Danna Durham of Jena, will escort Emily Barton, daughter of Casey & Cheyenne Barton of Urania.

Hunter Bradford, son of Coty & Story Bradford of Olla, will escort Hallie Peppers, daughter of Nathan-Peppers of Oklahoma & Sarah Peppers of Urania.

Logan DeMoss, son of Jeremy & Kristi Taylor of Olla, will escort Kyndal Borden, daughter of Mark & Jessica Borden of Olla.

Sean Derr, son of Kristen & Jacque Derr of Olla, will escort Allie Murphrey, daughter of Dougie & Amy Murphrey of Tullos.

Haden Doughty, son of Chad & Nikki Doughty of Tullos, will escort Becca Brown, daughter of Krystal Bordelon & Chad Brown of Olla.

Mason Dulaney, son of Justin & Amanda Dulaney of Olla, will escort Hayleigh Boyd, daughter of Heath & Heather Boyd of Urania.

Donald Eiland, son of Anita Masoner of Olla, will escort Kenlee Edwards, daughter of Trent Edwards of Olla & Suzy Leblanc of Dry Prong.

Luke Foy, son of Kelly Finley of Columbia & Chris Foy of Kelly, will escort Kynslee Slay, daughter of Chad & Ashley Brown of Olla.

Tanner Gagne, son of Guy Gagne of Summerville & Angela Keen of Tullos, will escort Harlee Nowlin, daughter of Scotty & Helen Poole of Olla.

Chase King, son of Jay & Beth King of Olla & Toni Hatten of Hebert, will escort Addison Prince, daughter of Jeremy Prince of Olla & Sheree Prince of Olla.

Kendryk Morrow, son of Chris & Cindy Morrow of Tullos, will escort Kaylie Powell, daughter of Tim & Lynn Powell of Olla.

Noah Parham, son of Craig & Tiffany Parham of Olla, will escort Mattie Parham, daughter of Craig & Tiffany Parham of Olla.

Eli Peppers, son of Jason & Cherish Peppers of Olla, will escort Baylie Turner, daughter of Michael & Laci Turner of Olla.

Jamorian Turner, son of Jeffrey Bell & Trina Turner of Olla, will escort Olivia Tisdale, daughter of Jennifer & Lane Callender & Joey & Kelly Posey.

Justin Valentine, son of Michael & Christie Valentine of Tullos, will escort Alayna Randall, daughter of Lori Randall and granddaughter of Sharon Randall of Olla.

Hayden White, son of Derek & Anna White of Urania, will escort Kaylin Peppers, daughter of Nathan Peppers of Oklahoma & Sarah Peppers of Urania.

Dannon Williams, son of David & Nicky Williams of Olla, will escort Jasmyn Taylor, daughter of Michael & Tiffany Taylor of Olla.
