Registrar of Voters Angie Sandifer announced that anyone who is not registered to vote and wishes to get registered to be able to vote in the November 18 runoff election, must do so in person by 4:30 p.m. today, October 18 at the Registrar’s office in Jena.
The office is located across the street from the LaSalle Parish Courthouse in Jena.
Although in-person registration ends today, registration electronically is accepted through October 28.
To register to vote electronically, please visit the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.la.gov.
“The rule still stands that we cannot move any voters that have changed their address after the close of books for this election,” Sandifer said. “The exception would be a parish-wide runoff that everybody votes on.”
