LaSalle Parish residents are encouraged to received their flu vaccinations by the Louisiana Department of Health and the department is offering the service this Friday, October 20, at the LaSalle Parish Health Unit.

Flu vaccinations will be given from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the unit, located at 1673 N. Second Street in Jena, once again with the convenience of a drive-thru flu shot clinic.

Those wishing to receive a flu shot must bring their private insurance, Medicaid or Medicare cards, wear short sleeve or loose-fitting sleeves.

Covid and Mpox vaccines are also available at most locations where the LDH event is being held and for those under-insured or uninsured, it may be at no cost.

The event is open to the public and walk-ups and drive-ups are welcomed.
