Charlie Douglas

Charles Boyd “Charlie” Douglas, 64, of Olla, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in Monroe, LA with his wife by his side.

He was born May 7, 1959 in Monroe to the union of his parents, Eual Douglas and Betty Ruth Free Douglas.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA, with Bro. Joe Lowe officiating.

Interment followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Tonda; his children, Tara Douglas of Olla, Steven Douglas (Ann Peyton) of Pontotoc, MS and Nicole Long (Todd) of Urania; his grandchildren, Ali, Kinsey, Landry, Will, his namesake Charles Maddox and his new granddaughter who is due next week, Emma Kate; his older brother, Eual Douglas and younger brother Rod Douglas, both of Olla.

Pallbearers were Jerrod Douglas, Trey Douglas, Tom Douglas, Landon Phillips, Steven Smith and Randy Borchard.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Gilcrease and Roy Cain.
