Tigers Blast the Gators on Senior Night

LaSalle 52 – Northwood-Lena 14

The LaSalle Tigers took the field this past Thursday to host the Northwood-Lena Gators for senior night. The Tiger offense would march up and down the field scoring at will on the Gators.

LaSalle racked up 542 yards on the Gator defense. The Tigers scored 52 points and were led by Kendryk Morrow and Tanner Gagne with two touchdowns each.

Sean Derr, Justin Valentine and Cooper Stowe each added a touchdown on offense. Cutler Ganey secured a touchdown on defense when he scooped up a fumble and took it 16 yards to the house. The Tigers never struggled to score on the Gators.

This senior class has been hit hard with injuries this season and worked through week after week trying to put a solid unit on the field. Younger guys did step up and gain some valuable experience this season. Some of these seniors played hurt, wrapped up and bandaged just to try to push this team to victory. These guys will be missed on the field next season, but until this season ends, they will hit the film room and practice field getting ready for Beekman Charter this coming week. The Tigers will travel to north Louisiana for the regular season finale against Beekman Charter, who was victorious this past week.

The Tigers have worked hard this entire season and it’s hard to believe we are already at week ten. The playoff pairings come out early next week, so stay tuned to The Jena Times Facebook page to keep up with any updates. If you cannot make the trip to Beekman Charter, please tune in to Sandlot Sports Network on Facebook as Jason Peppers brings you all the play-by-play action of LaSalle Tiger Football. Hope to see you at the games.
