Jerry Walker

Jerry Lynn Lanier Walker, 75, of Jena, passed from this life on Sunday, November 12, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 6, 1948 in Alexandria, LA to the union of her parents, Travis Smiley Lanier and Flora Margaret Jackson Lanier.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, with Bro. Clyde Grammon and Rev. Mike Wilkinson officiating.

Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, Jena, under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Norman Gene Walker; her parents; two brothers, Stid Lanier and Jack Lanier; two nephews, Richard “Ricky” Lanier and Steve Lanier; and a niece, Margaret Lanier Smith.

Those left to love and miss her include her daughter and son-in-law Melissa Walker Roy and Jake of Jena; grandson, Mason Roy of West Monroe; granddaughter Jada Roy Parker (Justin) of Jena; great-granddaughter, Ellie Jade Parker; nephew, Wayne Lanier; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Jake Roy, Mason Roy, Justin Parker, Nathan Barker, Matthew Barker and David Conley, Jr.

Honorary pallbearer was Billy Smith.
