James Faulkner

James Roger Faulkner, 64, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in Alexandria, LA.

He was born December 14, 1958 in Jena to the union of his parents, Daniel and Edith Faulkner. He was a lifetime citizen of LaSalle Parish and spent his entire life up and down the roads of Belah.

At the age of 18, he met the love of his life and on May 25, 1982, they were married.

James worked in the oilfield for a short time when his true passion and love for big trucks took over. For more than 40 years, he drove from coast to coast, in 48 states. His children remember watching for their Daddy’s lights to come across the hill and the many times they rode with him in his truck.

James loved going fast in every aspect of life – from dirt bikes and four wheelers, trucks, cars, to his beloved Harley Davidson. He would see how fast he could go and loved every single minute of it.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Robert, Edwin and Richard Faulkner.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife and love of his life, Vicky Faulkner of Trout, LA; one and only son, James Brandon Faulkner (Maria) of Chickasha, OK; daughters, Bridgett Evans (Casey) of Good Pine, Fancy Faulkner of Jena; eleven grandchildren, Bryan and Sydney Faulkner, Dylan Faulkner, Jaylee Faulkner, Austin Thompson, Alyssa Faulkner, Rayleigh Spruell, Josie Evans, Natalie Johnson, Emersyn and Maddox Paul; two great grandchildren, Laney Faulkner and Katy Thompson; two sisters, Anita Cuthrell and Beulah Sketo; one special sister, Sharlott Faulkner and one very special brother and lifetime best friend, Vincent Owens.
