Jonda Parnell

Services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Selma Baptist Church in Georgetown, LA, with Bro. Joe Bruce officiating.

Interment followed in the Georgetown Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Herman and Dot McPherson; paternal grandparents, Howard and Dollie Hendrix; two sisters; and two brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David Parnell; her twin sister, Wanda Navarro; son, Damon Teddlie (Adrienne); daughters, Tamika Kimball (Paul) and Tara Teddlie (Doug); her brother, Ricky Hendrix (Theresa); seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers were Damon Teddlie, Preston Matthews, Devon Matthews, Ty Matthews, Jacob Spruell and Shane Hughes.

Honorary pallbearers were Sherwin Williams and William Edwards.

Jonda Rana Hendrix Parnell, 66, passed from this life on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her residence in Georgetown.

She was born December 27, 1956 in Jena, LA to the union of her parents, Jimmy Dale Hendrix and Lucille McPherson Hendrix.
