Joan Rachal
Obituaries

Joan Rachal

Myrtis Joan Davis Rachal, 87, of Olla, passed peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.

She was born January 24, 1936 in Olla to the union of her parents, Buddy Davis and Inez McMillin Davis.

Joan was always smiling, and she enjoyed seeing people. She was a member of Olla Methodist Church and loved the Lord. Joan had a heart of gold and a green thumb. She loved flowers and could grow anything she wanted. Joan loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her pets. We will be jealous of the angels, but our hearts are full knowing she is spending Christmas with her husband, Joe.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Olla Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Rachal; and her sweet, twin granddaughters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Mark Rachal (Dianne); daughter, Lori Wells (Randy); her brother, Jerry Davis (Betty); grandchildren, Ethan Wells (Stephanie), Lauren Sant, Kathryn Woodruff (Dennis) and Chris Rachal; great-grandchildren, Jesse Wells, Raelynn Wells, Alex Richmond, Austin Richmond, Ian Woodruff, Hazel Woodruff, Lettie Woodruff, Camille Sant and Colin Sant; and a very special cousin, Gerald Williams.
