Doris Edwards

Doris Elizabeth Edwards, 85, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Hilltop Nursing Home.

She was born August 21, 1938.

She was a member of Wallace Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing the piano at church. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Wallace Ridge Baptist Church, Jonesville, LA, with Bro. Jack Crane officiating.

Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Jena, LA, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

She was preceded in death by her father, Coy Edwards; mother, Bessie Edwards; two brothers, Charles Edwards and Coy Edwards; sister, Thelma Cowart; niece, Beverly Cowart; and great nephews, Vincent Davis and Cody Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Dicie Davis of Jonesville; sister-in-law, JoAnn Edwards of Jonesville; nieces and nephews, Karen Allbritton, Gene Edwards, Kathy Smith, Steve Davis, Mike Davis, Lawana Thompson, Carol Chester, Larry Edwards, Michele Edwards and Lisa Brown; and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Davis, Mike Davis, Kirk Thompson, Jacob Thompson, John Wayne Allbritton and Gene Edwards.
