Appearing in Jena Tuesday night will be the Rhapsody in White and Baylor Bards, Choral ensembles from Baylor University of Waco, Texas. The groups will appear at the First Baptist Church of Jena. The Rev. J.P. Owens, pastor of the church, stressed that the appearance is open to the public and everyone is invited. People who have heard them often comment they’ve “never heard anything equal (their program) before.” The students who make up the choral groups come from 16 states and South America and one of the highlights of their annual tours came when they were invited to present a concert in Monterey, New Mexico.
