Virginia Jones

Pallbearers were Ryan Allen, Jared Jennings, Josh Luman, Trevor Thacker, Glenn Hutto and Buster Justice.

Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Thacker, Freddie Thacker, Troy Thacker and Juan Thacker.

She was born April 20, 1941. Ms. Virginia was a 1960 graduate of Jena High School and Pat Goins Cosmetology School in Ruston, LA. She was a hairstylist in Farmerville for over 40 years. She loved all of her clients and served generations of families. Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmerville. She adored her church and her church family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Virginia would never miss any opportunity to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Ruth Nelson Thacker and sisters, Viva Thacker and Vivian Thacker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Aleta Hutto (Glenn) and Sonya Justice (Buster); son, Bradley Jones (Stacy); five grandchildren, Ryan Allen (Ashlee), Alese Jennings (Jared), Lindsey Gadberry, Taylor Thomas (Jon) and Justice Jones (Lauren); 11 great grandchildren; four brothers, Douglas Thacker (Patsy), Freddie Thacker (Ina), Troy Thacker (Vanessa) and Juan Thacker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Martha “Virginia” Jones, 82, of Farmerville, LA, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Farmerville, LA, with Rev. Kurt Auger officiating.
